Infor Pathway is a cloud-based solution specifically designed to streamline local government operations. It supports councils in delivering services efficiently, remaining compliant with legislative requirements, and managing critical functions like property, customer service, and financials. With Pathway, councils can digitise their services, empower mobile staff, and enhance real-time decision-making, all while ensuring seamless service delivery to their communities.

Trusted by over 70 local authorities, Pathway drives productivity and revenue, optimising how councils operate across Australia and New Zealand.

The challenge:

Infor knows all too well that local government operates in a complex landscape with shifting stakeholder agendas. Much like a Rubik’s cube of intertwined priorities, each "face" of government all must synchronise their solutions. But Infor Pathway lacked the necessary creative materials to help engage decision-makers, leaving cold audiences unaware of the story behind this powerful solution.

With Pathway poised to make several launches in following months, the challenge was to humanise the brand and create an engaging introduction that highlighted the value of Infor Pathway for councils of all sizes, ensuring a warm and informed reception across the market.

The solution:

ShareStory crafted a light-hearted explainer video that simplified the complex world of local government management, into a powerful metaphor. This engaging, Australian-themed story humanises Infor Pathway, highlighting its broad capabilities without delving into technical details. By balancing the product’s technical strengths with a humorous, character-driven narrative, we created a compelling introduction that made Infor Pathway accessible and relatable to LGA decision-makers of all sizes, while maintaining the brand's credibility as a leading market player.

The hero concept and cube metaphor seamlessly translated into Infor's wider marketing activities. From fun branded merchandise to eye-catching advertising versions of the content, the project has been planned for versatility from the beginning. Static renders of the 3D animations ensured visual consistency and storytelling across other placements, allowing the Infor cube theme to carry through every marketing touchpoint—building a unified and memorable campaign.

Building "YourTown Council": A key element

To bring the story to life, we created "YourTown Council"—an imaginary brand that served as the perfect stand-in for real customer challenges.

From scratch, we designed a full brand identity, including uniforms, signage, and digital assets like UI and animations. This cohesive visual identity added layers of realism and consistency to the narrative. Not only did it enhance the story’s impact, but it also provided lasting value to Infor, allowing them to repurpose these elements for future scenarios and marketing efforts.
